What do you see?
What do you see when you wake up in the morning? Are you given a vision that inspires you in the morning? We are. The Life Center at Waynesboro is a the end of a long road to find home. Now that we have found it, we are bringing others with us.
We were founded with a simple mission a couple of years ago; simply to bring the best food to the most people. The idea was simple and we engaged with the idea that we could just call upon a group of people to come together and help to create a movement. What wild strange trip it has been.
We found ourselves working backwards. We realized that getting food to those in need meant looking at where we were, where we came from, the peripheral side issues that created the problem and the things that we could do to keep the problem from becoming a problem in the future. Is it so complex?
Everything that we do provides a wealth of new opportunities and new horizons and a real opportunity to change people's lives. Have you heard of a CSA? CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Generally, people in a community will get together and support a local farm by committing to get their fruits and vegetables from that particular farm.
We are taking this concept a step beyond. We are pledging to be a CSL. We want to provide Community Supported Life. There are many projects in the works, but The Life Center at Waynesboro is going to provide as many opportunities for our members and for the people in our communities. We are a community that is going to grow together and the distance we can go is limited only by the distance we can see.
In the coming weeks and months we are going to be hosting classes and events. We are going to growing food and providing other things for our members. We are going to be offering services like child care and summer educational camps both for our members and for those in need.
So, as we build, as we create, as we put roots deeper and deeper into this community, know that when you buy a ticket to The Hub Music Festival or to Homesteader's Day, you are not just supporting a good time, but a good cause. Attend a workshop, learn something, build something. We are bringing so many things to you, bring your world to Life!
